General Renovation Skip Bins

A general renovation skip bin is perfect for most home renovation waste, including:

  • Cement sheets

  • Plasterboard (Gyprock)

  • Structural timbers

  • Doors & hinges

  • Cupboards

  • Sinks & baths

  • Vinyl & laminate flooring

  • Carpets & underlay

If your renovation includes slate, wall or floor tiles, concrete, or bricks, you’ll need a Mixed Renovation Skip Bin as these materials fall under quarry waste.

Mixed Renovation Skip Bins

A mixed renovation skip bin covers all general renovation waste plus building and quarry materials, including:

  • Sand, cement, & gravel

  • Slate & stone

  • Marble benchtops

  • Concrete & bricks

  • Wall & floor tiles

  • Soil (no vegetation)

This is the right bin if your renovation involves heavy construction materials.

Prohibited Items – What’s Not Allowed in Renovation Skip Bins

The following items should never be placed in any renovation skip bin (general or mixed):

  • Asbestos

  • Chemicals, liquids, or oils

  • Paint tins (unless completely dried out)

  • Biohazards or animal waste

  • Green waste, organic waste, or food waste

Important: Quarry waste can only be disposed of in a Quarry Renovation Skip.
