Booking, Delivery & Sizing FAQs

Our skips do not have a weight limit, with two exceptions:

– Commercial Waste: Skips delivered to businesses have weight limits to ensure equipment safety and competitive pricing.

– Terms of Service Violations: If specific exclusions are ignored (e.g., placing concrete in a renovation skip where it is prohibited), a weight limit will be applied retrospectively.

All skips must be filled to the rim only (“level load”). No items should protrude above the rim or outside the skip structure. Please review your paperwork for specific conditions, as significant health and safety penalties apply for overloading.
No. Under the Chain of Responsibility (COR), you are liable for any damage to personnel, equipment, or property if the skip is moved. We must collect the skip from the exact spot where it was placed.
You may pay via bank transfer or through our online booking system prior to delivery. Alternatively, we accept cash, Amex, Afterpay, Visa, and Mastercard upon delivery.
Yes, depending on location and availability. We can typically deliver the same day if notified before 11:00 AM, excluding Sundays, the day before a public holiday, or days of extreme volume. We recommend calling as early as possible to secure a spot.
You can generally book online until midnight for next-morning delivery. For urgent requests, please call us during office hours.
Pickup is arranged at the time of booking. Skips can be kept for up to a week; additional fees may apply for longer durations. If your skip is not collected on the specified date due to overloading or blocked access, please call us immediately. If the delay is on our end, you will not be charged additional fees.
Please call us for assistance. We recommend measuring your largest items and adding 30% to volume measurements for materials like lawn or concrete. It is generally more cost-effective to size up than to hire a second skip.
A 6×4 trailer with high sides is roughly equivalent to our smallest skip. We recommend either a 2-cubic-meter mini skip or a 3-cubic-meter skip. All Handiskip SA skips include a ramp for safe access.
For schools, government agencies, and companies with strict safety protocols, we recommend booking a skip with an access ramp to minimize the risk of loading accidents.
If it is your first time, we recommend calling us to complete your booking. Alternatively, you can book online for a contactless experience or visit our yard in person.
As a high-value skip provider, all our skips feature doors and are professionally made and insured. We offer an AM or PM delivery window for the advertised price; however, a specific delivery time will incur an additional cost.
All of our prices are openly advertised on our website.
All skips need to be within your property boundary and cannot be placed in public places such as roads unless a permit has been obtained as a rule this can take 7 working days.
